There is Greater For You

I drive pass towering buildings every day that are the headquarters for businesses like Delta, Coca-Cola and Racetrack. I think to myself, “Wow, that business was just a dream once upon a time.”

These companies have grown into household names, are used by millions of people, and bring in billions of dollars a year. I often ask myself the question, "Why can't that be me?"
Just imagine — turning an idea into a solution that solves a problem for millions of people. Becoming the industry pioneer, the inspiration, the world-changer. Why can't that be you?
Well, what if it's SUPPOSED to be you?
What if Jesus said so himself?
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” - John 14:12
Jesus wanted us to be prepared to continue His work, and He wanted us to understand how impactful it would be. Still, it can be easy to read that you’re called to greater works, but it’s a totally different story to really believe it’s possible. Well, let me tell you that it’s more than possible, it’s actually your destiny!
There are about 30-40 of Jesus’ miracles recorded in the Gospels. He did all these and more and made it all look like light work! Now, read this slowly so that it sinks in. . .
You are called to do even greater things than Jesus, through Jesus!
The best miracle Jesus performed was giving up his life on the cross, conquering death, hell and the grave, rising from the grave to sit at the right hand of God — all to save us, so that one day, we could join him in the miracle-making business. Healing more sick, raising more dead and casting out more demons isn’t just something you’re called to do — it’s something God’s already made possible for you to do, And, you don’t have to be a preacher or be in a church to do it. In fact, I believe ministry, in its most effective form, is done in the marketplace. That’s where you’re truly touching the people who desperately need a savior.
What does that look like? Creating the clothing line that tells someone they can be free from low self-esteem. Becoming the realtor that shifts the poverty mindset in your clients. Becoming the CEO that encourages employees to seek Jesus about the skills and talents inside of them. Or, becoming the stellar employee that shines God’s light in the office.
And this version of you isn't as far off as you may think.
God completed all His miracles and many more in just 3 years (He was 30 when he started his ministry, 33 when he died on the cross). This shows us that when we really lean on the Lord, it doesn’t matter how old or young we are, God can accelerate the work of our hands for His Glory.
